The Higher Education Grant Scheme provides financial assistance for full time undergraduate courses in approved third level colleges. Family and/or personal income is a key factor that will be assessed when you apply for a student grant however there are a number of other factors that must also be considered. Wicklow County Council wishes to advise students who were in receipt of a Higher Education Grant in the 2014/15 academic year, that renewal forms have been posted out for the 2015/16 academic year.
If you are continuing on your current course and do not receive a renewal form in the post by the 19th June, please email email@example.com to request an application form and include your name and current address. The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Monday 31st August 2015. All renewal application forms must be accompanied by exam results showing a clear pass or progression to the next year of your course and documentary evidence for all income into the household in 2014. Incomplete applications will be returned to you and will result in a delay to the payment of your grant.
Please note, new students or those continuing to postgraduate studies, changing course/college must make a new application online through www.studentfinance.ie as Wicklow County Council can no longer offer a Higher Education Grant to these students.
