Notice of the passing of resolution to vary the rate of local property tax
That Wicklow County Council determines, in accordance of the provisions of Section 20 of the Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended), that the basic rate of local property tax should stand varied downwards by 15% for 2015 in respect of relevant residential properties situated in the administrative area of Wicklow County Council.
What does this mean for the average household?
The table below gives an indication of the rate of Local Property Tax for an average household in Wicklow following a 15% decrease or increase on the 2014 rate.

For example, if your house is valued under €100,000, you will have paid €90 Local Property Tax in 2014. If the Local Property Tax rate is decreased by 15%, you will pay €76.50 LPT in 2015.
There are three Estates in County Wicklow, which are eligible for waiver from the Local Property Tax.
They are as follows:
- Blackthorn Bay, Grennhills Road, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow
- Coolattin Gardens, Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow
- Emyvale, Ballyraine Upper, Arklow, Co. Wicklow
