It is advised not to swim at The Murrough, Wicklow, or Wicklow Harbour, due to discharge of untreated sewage effluent, possibly as a result of electrical power being switched off following a fire at Uisce Eireann Murrough Wastewater Treatment Plant.Electrical power will be restored as soon as possible. The bathing water will be sampled after electrical power has been restored and social media will be updated.
