Weekly Road Notices And Road Closures: Week 9th - 15th December

Please find below a list of Road Notices for the week of 9th - 15th December, 2024

 

Road works 

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise Footpath improvement works at Strand Road between Marine Terrace and Quinsborough Road are commencing this morning and are likely to be in place until Thursday 19th December.

Parking will be removed.

Pedestrian and vehicle traffic and access to premises will be accommodated.

Wicklow County Council regrets any inconvenience involved.

All adjacent business premises will be open and operate as usual.

 

Notice of Diversion 

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise motorists that Roadworks will take place at M11 junction 17 tonight.

 

Traffic Management

Thursday 12th December (22:00 – 06:00)

M11 southbound – Junction 17 Entry Slip – closed

Diversions via M11 junction 16

 

Wicklow County Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

 

 

Emergency works 

Wicklow County Council wish to advise motorists that Uisce Eireann will be commencing Emergency Works at 4:00 pm today, Wednesday 11th December, to repair a burst water main on Church Road, Wicklow Town.

 

Local Traffic Restrictions will be in place.

 

Temporary Road Closure of  the L-1035 Old long Hill, Kilmacanogue

 

update 11th December 2024

Old Long Hill  ( L-1035)has now  reopened

Bridge Road Enniskerry still closed. 

 

Collte are currently working on site to clear  trees at Djouce. The L-1035, Old Long Hill is expected to reopen on Wednesday 11th December, 2024.

 

Works  at the following locations in Bray Municipal District to clear fallen trees/ debris

Tree fallen at Rectory Way, Bray

Tree uprooted at Ballycoyle, Waterfall Road, Enniskerry

Large boughs off tree at Seacrest Bray

Tree split at Fairy Hill, Bray in danger of falling

Cookstown Road, Enniskerry soakaway and road gully clogged with mud causing severe ponding

works  will take approx. one week  to clear debris

• Shielstown Crossroads to Ballygobbin Road,

• Shielstown Crossroads to Barnamelia Road

• Ballycurrach Road, Askinagap
