Jack-up Barge Operations Avoca River
Please be advised of the following:
The Jack Up barge ‘Razende Bol’, currently alongside the South
Quay at Arklow Harbour, will be towed out of the harbour tomorrow
morning (31st May) at 1000hrs. The vessel will be towed out by the
‘AMS Husky’ and ‘AMS Retriever’, and will require the entire width of
the river during the operation.
The Razende Bol is not a power driven vessel and will be totally
reliant on the towing vessels to control it. The Towing vessels
will be restricted in their ability to manoeuvre. Please refer to
The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
Both towing vessels will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch
16 and 14.
All other vessels are requested to keep well clear.
