Newtownmountkennedy Town Team - Information Walk In Session

Wicklow County Council, under the National Town Centre First policy, is establishing a Town Centre First Team in Newtownmountkennedy. This Town Team, supported by the Town Regeneration Officer with Wicklow County Council, will be central to the delivery of a Town Centre First strategy and vision for Newtownmountkennedy.

The Town Centre First policy aims to create town centres that function as viable, vibrant and attractive locations for people to live, work and visit while also functioning as the service, social, cultural and recreational hub for the local community.

Town Teams are typically made up of representatives from business, community groups, residents, tourism groups, An Garda Síochána, charities, social enterprises, sports organisations, cultural groups, voluntary groups, chambers of commerce, retailers, developers, and educational facilities. The policy recognises that each Town is unique and it’s important that the Team reflects the Town.

Following on from the initial walk-in information session, Wicklow County Council are hosting an additional walk-in information session in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy on Thursday 24th October from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, where the Town Regeneration Officer will host an information briefing and answer questions from anyone who calls to the event.
