Mobile Music Machine at Rathdrum Sumer Songs from 4 – 5pm
Mobile Music Machine will bring music to life in this special afternoon performance.
This family based concert will feature 4 of Ireland’s finest musicians, Sandra Oman (Soprano), Niall O’Sullivan (Trumpet), Katie O’Connor (Violin), and Frank McNamara (Piano). Listeners will be treated to a light programme of family favourites, including themes from the musicals and films.

An evening with The Penstons at Rathdrum Summer Songs from 5:30 – 7pm
Join the Penston family, Naoimh, Amy and Leah for your favourite West End and Broadway hits alongside some glorious classical and Celtic crossovers. A beautiful evening of song for everyone. This talented trio have each enjoyed wonderfully eclectic careers in the world of music performance, and have recently enjoyed working on collaborative TV performances and concerts, and of course, online collaborations inspired and driven by the Covid pandemic.

Geli Plate Printmaking at Rathdrum Summer Songs from 10am – 12pm
Celebrating Summer Songs and the change in the season, White Doodle Art will facilitate a fun geli plate printmaking workshop by foraging for fallen leaves, feathers and interesting objects to use as subject for your print, learn about registration, composition, negative and positive space, ink and print a one of a kind print to take home.

Introduction to Songwriting Workshop at Rathdrum Summer Songs from 12:30 -3:30pm
This workshop is ideal for the complete beginner or for those who have been writing songs for a while and would like some fresh ideas and new skills. Createschool will guide you through the main elements of song and lyric writing and help you capture that great idea as a song to share with your friends and family.

Summer Songs Inland & by the Sea is back and this time we’re in Rathdrum!
Featuring Robbie Walsh Trad Band and Sean Fox, this free concert is taking place on Friday 19th August at 7:30pm in Rathdrum memorial Park.
Robbie is a bodhrán player who hails from Dublin. Brought up with a strong musical background, his style is the definition of diversity and power. Robbie began to learn the ropes from the great Noel Dowling of Kilkenny. Taking these skills to the vibrant, session culture of Dublin, Robbie began to shape his style.
Sean is a multi-talented singer-songwriter from County Wicklow who has been creating incredible music since 2015. Sean has shared the stage with Aslan and Jerry Fish and his singles including ‘Open Road’ and the latest ‘Orchestra of Sound’ received rave reviews. When not performing solo, Sean fronts indie rock band ‘The Decades’.

Collage Making Workshop at Rathdrum Summer Songs from 4 – 5pm
Join White Doodle Art for mixed media collage workshop.
Celebrate the summer songs by the sea and create a nautical/ marine life mixed media collage using interesting scraps of painted, printed and recycled paper materials. Finish off your collage with paint sticks and Posca pens.

Paddy Casey supported by Florence Road at Rathdrum Summer Songs

Join us for an intimate gig with one of Ireland's most acclaimed live artists, Paddy Casey, on Saturday 20th August at 7:30pm in Rathdrum Memorial Park. Paddy will be supported by Florence Road, a young up and coming band from Arklow.
Paddy Casey has headlined Irish festivals, Dublin Castle, played a week-long residency in the Olympia Theatre, performed his own headline concert in the RDS, has supported many top names worldwide including U2 and played live on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Paddy's debut album, Amen (So Be It) went multi-platinum and his next album; Living went at least eleven times platinum in Ireland which has made it one of the top selling Irish albums ever.
Florence Road is a Wicklow based, pop-rock band who only recently started gigging - but have already been seen in the Irish Times and recording with Music Generation.

Wicklow Local Sports Partnership presents FYI Dance Workshops from 12-2pm
Learn basic Hip Hop Grooves and skills in these two dance workshops with Zoe Patterson of FYI Dance Club.
Learn how to construct routines to your favourite music or how to freestyle with confidence!
The first workshop from 12 -1pm is specifically for 7-11 year olds while the second workshop from 1 -2pm is for 12 -17 year olds.
Bring water, your favourite trainers and warm up with your favourite beats! No experience necessary but a love of movement to music, expressing yourself and an enthusiasm for new learning is essential!

Balance Bike Taster Workshop (Learn to Cycle) from 2:30-4:30pm
Wicklow Local Sports Partnership presents a Balance Bike Taster Workshop from 2:30 -4:30pm on Sunday 21st August.
Led by Andrea McCormick, a qualified cycling tutor, you will be taught the fundamentals of cycling using one of six balance bikes available on the day. Feel free to bring along your own bikes too.
