Applications Now Open for the 2025 Strategic Projects Awards

Wicklow County Council Arts Office is pleased to announce that the application window for the 2025 Strategic Projects Awards is now open, and will close at 4pm on Friday 13th September 2024.

The Arts Office invites submissions to this annual funding stream for the arts. The Strategic Projects Award Scheme is open to artists, national resource organisations, individual curators, and / or artist collectives.  Applications should focus on nurturing practice, enhancing connectivity, generating new perspectives and cultivating new voices within County Wicklow.

Two funding streams are being made available under the scheme for initiatives which will take place in 2025.  Stream A is for new applicants and proposals, and Stream B is for consolidation / development of strategic projects previously awarded under this scheme.

Applicants must apply through the Arts Office's online platform ‘Submittable’, where applicants can complete the online application form and upload all supporting materials. The ‘Submittable’ platform works best on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported. The application form can be accessed here: https://wicklowcountycouncil.submittable.com/submit

Applicants are strongly recommended to test the process prior to the closing date, so that if necessary, technical support can be provided as late and or incomplete applications cannot be considered.

Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council Cllr. Paul O’Brien commented on the scheme, “It is wonderful to see the investment being offered to artists to develop creative ideas which create connection in the county and bring ideas to life.”

Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council, Emer O’Gorman said, “Wicklow County Council provides this award with a maximum of €15,000 available to successful applicants. It allows the development of ambitious new work and creative engagement with citizens of our county.”
