Milltown Lane traffic Calming Project Non Statutory Public Consultation.

Wicklow County Council proposes to undertake the construction of Traffic Calming measures on the L 5597 Milltown Lane, Rathnew. The design has been developed based on best practice which addresses the safety issues that have been raised.

The proposed project consists of ramps at various sections of the L 5597, installation of warning signage and road markings.

The objective of the project is to improve road safety for all users of the L 5597

Drawings are available for inspection on the Consultation Hub on Wicklow County Council’s website, www.wicklow.ie and on display in the Wicklow Municipal District Office, Town Hall, Market Street, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow A67 Y018 from Wednesday 25th  September  to Wednesday 9th October 2024.

The Council will consider any submissions or observations made in writing regarding the proposal. Submissions should be lodged in writing to the, Wicklow Municipal District Office, Town Hall, Market Street, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow A67 Y018  or by email to Wicklowmd@wicklowcoco.ie  All submissions to be received before 12 noon on Wednesday 9th October 2024.

Please note that comments, including names of those making comments, submitted to the Council regarding this process may form part of the report for recording and publication of the decision following the outcome of the consultation process. The report shall be circulated to the elected members. Accordingly, they may also appear in the public domain.
