In accordance with the provisions of PART XI, of the Planning Acts 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2000 (as amended), notice is hereby given that Wicklow County Council proposes to carry out the Sugarloaf repair project which will include the following works:
- Re fencing of carpark, marking parking spaces, upgrade archway, drainage, steel gate, signage
- A Family friendly area -Trail construction and planting of native species.
- Ground works and manual stone pitching of an ascent and descent route.
- Habitat restoration to encourage growth of native species.
In accordance with Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001(as amended), Wicklow County Council has concluded from a screening determination that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.
Where any person considers that the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment, they may, at any time before the expiration of 4 weeks beginning on the date of publication of this notice, apply in accordance with the provisions of article 120 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have such effects.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of Bray Municipal District, Civic Offices, Main Street, Bray, Co Wicklow or Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Station Road, Co. Wicklow during opening hours Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays, for a period between 6th December 2023 and 12th January 2024. Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed developments dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated can be made at www.wicklow.ie/Living/consultationhub or in writing to the undersigned clearly marked ‘Sugarloaf Repair Scheme”.
All submissions must be received on or before 29th January 2024 by 12 noon.
