SECTION 75 - ROADS ACT, 1993

PROVISION FOR TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF  A PUBLIC ROAD  

Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice that it proposes the temporary closure of the following public roads

Road to be closed:

L-5099 Rockey Road, Wicklow From the roundabout at Junction 17 off the M11 to the junction of Ashtown Lane.

 
Period of closure

From Monday 20th January 2025 to Friday 29th August 2025.  24 Hour Road closure

 
Alternative Routes

Diversion via the R772 (Ballinabarney Road) to the L-1098 (Keatingstown Road) to the L-1100 (Hawkstown Road) to Rockey Road (L-5099)

 
Reason for Closure:

This road closure is necessary to facilitate drainage, road widening and re-surfacing works.

 
Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure must lodge their objection in writing with the reference “RC2024-47 Rockey Road” to Transportation & Infrastructure Delivery ,Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Wicklow Town, Co Wicklow or objections can be submitted on our on line consultation hub https://www.wicklow.ie/Living/ConsultationHub
