The Bray Municipal District Local Area Plan (LAP) 2018 includes the plans for the settlements of Bray, Enniskerry and Kilmacanogue.

The Bray Municipal District LAP 2018 should be read in conjunction with the Wicklow County Development Plan. 

 

Stage 1: Pre-draft public consultation

Submissions were sought on the review of the existing plans and preparation of the new Bray Municipal District LAP 2017. The public consultation period ran from 12 October 2016 to 11 November 2016. A Consultation Issues Booklet was prepared, which looked at the significant planning issues that the LAP will address. A public information day was held in the Bray Municipal District Offices, on Thursday 20 October 2016.

Stage 5: Second Chief Executive's Report

A Chief Executive's Report on the submissions received during stage 4 was prepared and issued to the Elected Members for their consideration. The report was considered at the full County Council meeting on 14 May 2018 where a number of alterations were agreed. Following this the Bray Municpal District Local Area Plan 2018 - 2024 was adopted and it will come in to effect in 4 weeks from 14 May 2018.

Stage 6: Adopted Bray Municipal District Local Area Plan 2018 - 2024 

The Bray Municipal District Local Area Plan 2018 - 2024 was made at the County Council meeting of the 14 May 2018 and came into effect on the 10 June 2018.
