Wicklow County Council wishes to advise that roadworks will be taking place on the L5050, Church Road, Newcastle, commencing on the 27/08/24. 

The works are required to replace a broken old stone stream culvert under the road in advance of full road resurfacing works to take place in a number of weeks. 

Due to the narrowness of the road the culvert replacement works will necessitate the closing of this road from its junction with the N11 Junction 13 eastern roundabout at the western end: to its junction with the R761 at its eastern end. 

Local access only will be possible, however through traffic will not be feasible due to the trench across the road.

Wicklow County Council regret any inconvenience these works may cause.
